What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your full name, email, company, website if you give it, role, what you want built or assessed, who uses the process today, when you need it, your budget band, the door you chose and your consent. If you arrive from a product page we record which product. We record the time you sent it. We also record how you reached the site (section 03) and whether you ticked the advertising box (section 05).

No cookies

53alpha.com sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so there is no cookie banner. When you arrive, our analytics script notes how you reached the site: advertising click identifiers (such as gclid and fbclid), campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), the landing page and the referring site. It holds these only in the memory of the open page, and they are gone when you reload or close it. If you send an enquiry during that visit, they are sent and stored with it.

Analytics

Our analytics run on Nexus, our own platform. The script records the pages you view and how your visit arrived, without setting cookies or storing anything on your device.

How we measure our advertising

When you arrive from one of our adverts, the link carries a reference from the ad platform. We note that reference, the page you landed on and the site that sent you, and keep them with your enquiry. Nothing is stored on your device.

If you tick the box on our enquiry form, we share that reference and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address with Google (and, in future, Meta) so they can tell us whether your enquiry came from one of our adverts. They cannot read the scrambled copy, and we do not use it for any other advertising.

If you do not tick the box, nothing about your enquiry is shared with them.

These details are kept for as long as your enquiry is, and you can ask us to remove them at any time.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a call with you, prepare an assessment or proposal, and understand which channels bring enquiries. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

Processors

Enquiries are stored in Nexus, the CRM platform we build and operate, acting as our processor. Emails are sent through EmailIt. The site is hosted on Vercel, which handles the requests your browser makes to it. All three process data only on our instructions. Google receives only what section 05 describes, and only if you tick the box.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to reply to and follow up your enquiry, then deleted. Records that become client work are kept for as long as the engagement and our legal obligations require.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use or withdraw your consent. Write to hello@53alpha.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
